Tarter Krinsky & Drogin has opened an Office of AI and Innovation to embed artificial intelligence and process improvement throughout the firm’s operations. The office, created to support the firm’s 25-year history, is led by John Keary, who joins as Director of AI and Innovation.
Keary brings experience from NYU Langone Health, where he served as Program Manager for Legal AI Integration & Compliance. In that role, he led the development and deployment of AI-powered legal operations tools supporting litigation, intellectual property, contract review, financial forecasting, and compliance initiatives. He previously practiced as an associate at Kim, Cho & Lim LLC in New Jersey, handling commercial litigation matters, discovery strategies, and regulatory advice.
At NYU Langone, Keary applied AI and process redesign to accelerate the review of technology license agreements, primarily involving patented technologies. He built systems to analyze contracts, review and redline agreements, and conduct prior art and market research.

As Director at Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, Keary will oversee the firm’s enterprise-wide AI strategy. He will work with attorneys, practice group leaders, and professional departments including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, and Information Technology. The role focuses on integrating technology that improves efficiency and strengthens client service.

The launch of the office coincides with the firm’s 25th anniversary. Tarter Krinsky & Drogin was founded in Midtown Manhattan in 2001. The firm pursues a model that combines full-service capabilities with the practical approach of a midsize firm. Today, it operates as a nationally ranked firm with a bicoastal presence.
